We're Taking It Up a Notch

While I think my pranks are almost universally enjoyed, I've never taken them to the classroom. A faculty member has never been the subject of one of my pranks. Until now.

There's a professor that everyone hates. Let's call him Dr. Handsy. He's a pervert and he's always late for class. I hate waiting for professors. Especially 8am classes. If I can get my ass out of bed in time for your boring ass class, you should be able to be there on time. I'm 20 and need a lot of sleep. You don't.

But you know the rule: if the professor is a doctor, you wait 15 minutes. In fact, because he's such a hardass and we're afraid of him, we actually call the guy when he's 10 minutes late. We often end up waking him up. That pisses us off even more.

So I might have gotten a little drunk (again) last night and someone casually mentioned Dr. Handsy and how they hated him. And when it's 3am and you're drunk, anything that pops into your mind is a brilliant idea. I thought of calling Dr. Handsy.

I went to the hall phone and drunk dialed my professor at 3am.

Dr. Handsy (groggy): "Hello?"
Me: "Dr. Handsy, it's quarter past eight! You slept in again!"
Dr. Handsy: "Shit! I'll be there in 10 minutes!"

I don't know when he realized it was a prank, but he was certainly awake at that point. Did he get out of bed? Did he make it to the bathroom? I don't know, but it makes me laugh to think about it. I wonder if he'll mention it Monday morning.
