Bad Little Fall: The Review

So I've had a couple of days to digest the book now (dubbed with the subtitle "A Max Carter Mystery about rape, racism, and corruption on a small Maine campus" - how cool is that?) and I wanted to provide a brief review.

It rocks.

Too brief? It starts off great. Builds up the characters and their relationships to each other swiftly and effectively so that when the drama happens, you care.

And there are some very cool subplots that tie into the main plot very well. The pranking residents, for instance, pays off handsomely. And other dorm issues that factor into the grand finale.

As for the parts about me, it's quite an accurate portrayal of me. But I still like the character of Craig better. He's hilarious. Everyone has a friend like Craig. Girls don't know what they're getting themselves into with Craig, and there are approximately 7 girls per week for him. Of course, I still get the hot chicks. Max Carter always gets the hot chicks.

The book will be available soon. Stay tuned, and join the Max Carter Facebook group for more updates!

If your book has anything to do with anything, I have figured out the mystery of which college you attend. And if that's so, it's my hometown and everything now makes sense.

You THINK you have it figured out based on the name of the book, but you have to remember that the author is basing the story itself on his college experience, and he went to school in your hometown (assuming your hometown means "bad little falls."

He's just using me as the main character because he is boring and I'm not.
